About pakje kunst.

Pakje Kunst is an initiative in which local artists are brought to the attention of their own region in an accessible way. This gives the buyer access to the art on offer in the region.

The works of art are as big as a pack of cigarettes and can be taken out of old mechanical cigarette vending machines for only 4 euros.

You never know what you will get, and that makes it an incredibly fun concept. You can draw a Pack of Art as a present for someone, with a bottle of wine or a bunch of flowers. Or for yourself, out of curiosity or as a collector’s item.

Ro-Nalt Schrauwen, visual artist from Tilburg, is initiator of Pakje Kunst. At the end of 2016 the first three vending machines will be in use in Tilburg. Meanwhile this number has grown to 45 vending machines spread over 33 cities in the Netherlands and more than 1000 artists participate.

I think it’s a great concept and I’m happy to be one of the local artists to participate!

About durf te stempelen.

Durftestempelen is a webshop where you can mainly find fun and unique stamps, but you can also go there for the growing range of stationary products such as stickers, cards, paper sets and other items that are ideal for journaling and scrapbooking. The online store is run by Marjolein Sijmons since July 2017 and she likes to work with creative people who design stamps.

I’ve been following the Instagram account of Durftestempelen for some time now and at one point I indicated that I was in favour of a collaboration. Since August 2020 there are several insect stamps of my design available at Durftestamppelen and this assortment will be further expanded in the future.

About kindercoach hoorn.

Régine van de Visse finds it important in these busy times that there is someone for the children who takes the time to listen to their story. Someone who helps them to find their own solutions at their own pace to questions or feelings they consciously or unconsciously walk around with. Through her coaching practice, Régine offers help with the challenges you can get on your path with gifted and highly sensitive children, with behavioral problems, with not wanting to go to school and for example lack of understanding at school. She supports both parent and child.

THE COOPERATION WITH kindercoach hoorn

Corona was, and still is, the subject of the day. Children pick up all kinds of things from their environment. Régine decided to write a booklet “Little mouse stays at home” about this for children in the age of 4-6 years, and asked me if I wanted to illustrate it.

The result is a nicely designed free e-book, which has been downloaded hundreds of times already. We hoped to give parents, caregivers and teachers tools to understand the world in words and pictures, so that every child will learn to understand what is going on and to discuss any fears that may be present. And that seems to have succeeded. We are glad that we have been able to help so many children. The booklet can be downloaded from our website, which was also built by me. A sequel to Little Mouse, is in the making.

About elementary school De Zuidwester.

Together with the team, children and parents of all nationalities form a school of which they are proud of.

Providing a safe place with a warm pedagogical climate in which pupils can grow into responsible and (self)critical people who can participate in our ever-changing society with a sense of respect and trust is important for this school.

The collaboration with de zuidwester

During a meeting of the parents’ council, we discussed the theme of autumn and how we could implement this in the school. I came up with the idea of creating a window painting that could change with each season. This idea was received enthusiastically. Together with some parents and a few students we soon started the preparations.

No less than 13 windows of about 4 meters high had to be painted. I made the design and after 3 days of hard work it was ready. The design was completed with window stickers from Mandy Janssen of Mandy’s Cadeauhoekje in Tilburg. About 4 times a year the window paintings will be adapted to the season. Read this article for more information and pictures of the project.
